Guided by faith in God and the desire that the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, be glorified, Bible League Bulgaria is dedicated to providing Bibles, Bible study materials and training based on the eternal truths of God. We long to be used by the Holy Spirit in the lives of those touched by the Word of God, helping to bring them to communion with Christ and His Church, and help them develop into faithful followers of Jesus. In order to reach tangible results we:
- Provide Bibles and Biblical support materials through a special program for distribution.
- Organize Bible studies - individual or in small family groups.
- Cooperate with churches and other organizations by providing them with Bibles, offering them training for founding new churches and having them participate in our special programs for Bible Study - "Philip" and "Andrew."
- Strive to justify the confidence of donors, which is why we have developed a reliable system for collecting and reporting the results achieved by the grace of God.
Bible League Bulgaria began its activities at the end of 1994, initially striving to satisfy the very great need for Christian literature in the country through the printing and distribution of Bibles and New Testaments. Not long after, a training program for church planters began with its first seminar in Southwest Bulgaria (known as Pirin Macedonia). The interest in this training grew rapidly, and it became popular nationwide. Since then Bible League Bulgaria has conducted over 30 seminars in different parts of the country, successfully completed by more than 600 church planters. This training is conducted in 5 modules within 2 years, focusing on practical skills that founders of churches should learn and building their character as spiritual leaders. The uniqueness of this study lies in the selection of teachers who are Bulgarians with experience in founding churches in the country.
In 1997 a program to help people study the Word of God was launched, known by the name "Project Philip." The goal of this venture is not only to facilitate the study of the Bible and make it available to everyone, but also to support the growth of the Church.
In 2000, the program developed additional tools to work with the children called "Project Andy." Through these programs each year, more than 10,000 textbooks for Bible study are distributed and more than 8,000 people are involved in small groups, schools and kindergartens.
In 2001, "Bible League" together with “Mission Possible” finished editing a new, revised edition of the Bible and began distributing it. Today, it is available in more than 10 different forms and embodiments.
