“Peace On Earth…Good Will Toward Men”
Dear Family and Friends
With each passing year there seems to be less and less peace on this earth and less goodness among men. In our small agricultural town federally subsidized housing has brought people here from the large cities who have little concept of peace or good will….drug raids and gang murders are now a common occurrence. The billions that it takes to control evil here in California…this has created such stress…that criminals are now being released without serving their sentences. The land of the free and home of the brave is in great turmoil from shore to shore. Globally, economic distress, uprisings and revolts, governmental overthrow is happening over and over.
All of this reveals that the offer of peace on earth and good will has been rejected…”he came unto his own and his own received him not (John 1:11 ) The earth has overwhelmingly chosen evil (loves darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil (John 3:19). Human wisdom is being confounded daily as man’s systems fail… the scripture says…God is bringing it to nothing (naught).

Our Mission To Work
All who are commissioned followers of Jesus have a mandate to “work” now…to yet announce the option of peace and good to all who will hear. There is yet hope for personal peace and goodness for individuals who will hear and respond in faith to the offer. But we are told that we must work now for the night (the end of the world systems) is coming when no one can work. This is our life mission to “deliver” the hopeless “from this present evil world.” To all who will receive…the promise still stands…peace and good will is theirs. May this be our quest…to be ever working for the kingdom.
-
Reduplication The Only Method
With 7 billion people now inhabiting this earth there is only one method to reach the vast numbers. Jesus’ model for discipling a few who disciple a few who disciple a few and so on is the only proven way to rescue the most before the night comes. Preaching to thousands may be used in the process…but the task will only be done as living proof from transformed lives bring the reality of the message from person to person.
-
Our Mission On The Central Coast
Our mission here is the same as the world mission...let Him transform us and let us be about the task of being the evidence that will convince and transform others. As we said last month this is what drives our daily and weekly efforts…keep preparing soil, keep planting, keep watering, keep training others.
-
Mentors Needed
Though we seek to help all regardless of their level of faith… we are especially interested in working with those who understand their potential to influence others for the kingdom. Thus, we specifically focus on training mentors who will be able teach others also. We meet with them person to person and in a group always training others to reach and teach others. This is purposeful discipleship.

Outlets For The Gospel
Last week we met as we always do at a local store in Guadalupe. In the back room everything is set up for fellowship and Bible study. One of the people present last week was a long time customer of the store. He listened, he participated, he during our meeting prayed to express his faith publicly among us. This happens often at this outlet. Our weekly outreach gatherings we view as outlets for the faith. Here people can drink the living water and eat the bread of life. Some are yet at the beginning seeking to understand what it means to believe…others are yet new in the faith…others are learning to apply and live the truth on a daily basis. At the end of last week’s meeting we gathered around one of the workers at this store who is diagnosed with terminal cancer…together we beseeched the Lord for his intervention for the health of this lady. It was a moving time as tears were shed and passionate requests were made.
-
Our Sunday Gatherings
For now our gatherings each Sunday function as a team meeting where we encourage one another to do the work during the week. We appeal to all to participate in some kind of person to person or group meeting during the week. (It is in the person to person venue that modeling Jesus occurs and people learn from the lives of others how to follow Christ.) We also enjoy the great Spanish and English songs which recognize Jesus as our Master and Lord. The fellowship and the lunches we share are memorable.

Thy Kingdom Come…Peace For Us
This time of year is always a blessing as we remember the coming of our King…who is Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace…who offers peace on earth and goodness to our lives. How blessed we are to know Him.
Feliz Navidad…
