“The Bottom Line…Incarnate Truth”

Dear Family and Friends

All of us seem to have a never ending list of tasks…more to do in one day than we can accomplish…so we roll over items into the next day, week or month.  As it was with Martha, Jesus friend, we have concerns over many things and attempt to do them all.  Jesus cautioned her about being overtaken with many concerns…one thing he said is most important…and must be our priority…it is what Mary chose to do.

Mary remained undistracted from her focus on listening to Jesus while he was there…about how to live as a follower…through learning and living the truth.  John said of Jesus that “the word became flesh and dwelt among us…and we beheld his glory”  Jn.1:14.  This is how God’s glory (greatness) is revealed to the world…through incarnate truth.

·    Multiplication Of Light

It has not changed…only incarnate truth…or truth lived will bring light to the darkness.  May this be our quest…to let the truth transform our personalities …that we may help others receive the truth and also be transformed.  This is the work of the Father Jesus spoke of so often…the Father’s objective is the multiplication of light.

·    Life Shared Clones Disciples

There is not substitute for personal interaction with those who love and live the truth.  We assimilate most when all of our faculties become receptors for learning.  When we see and hear and feel the truth (I Jn.1:1) in action it becomes more than an academic exercise or transfer of facts. Jesus’ plan was to personally transform whole lives.  This happens as quality time is spent with followers… hours, days, months and years together produces incarnate truth.  Jesus spiritually cloned disciples and then sent them out to do exactly the same.

Our Mission On The Central Coast

Our mission is clear...let Him transform us and let us be about the task of touching the lives of others…purposely joining up with those God sends into our lives to share not just facts…but the passion...the reality of truth working within and being evidenced without. Here on the Central Coast of California…this is what drives our daily and weekly efforts…keep preparing soil, keep planting,  keep watering, keep training others.  As many times as possible in a week we plan, contact and connect with others to promote the progress of the incarnate truth and its reduplication in others.

·    Reduplication Goal Is Our Aim

Recently, we have been meeting with a few men and women who are seeking to seriously pursue outreach to those in their world...we are reviewing a checklist of action steps for becoming a better follower and a better mentor of followers.  This commitment involves laying down our lives and arranging our personal schedules to facilitate meeting with others as often as possible.  This is purposeful discipleship.

·    Stages Of Discipleship

Our weekly outreach gatherings include adults and children who are at all levels of development in the process of following Jesus. Some are yet at the beginning seeking to understand what it means to believe…others are yet new in the faith…others are learning to apply and live the truth on a daily basis.

Two weeks ago a young man came off the street early to our meeting while we discussing a checklist for reduplicating followers.  We were talking about how to help others come to the point of initial belief in Christ.   He entered our meeting at this point so we began a session on how God imparts the gift of faith and how one may confess that faith for salvation. One of our men asked this man if he understood and would he like to confess his belief in Jesus as Savior and Lord.  As everyone prayed…he prayed to confess his faith.  All the men shook his hand and encouraged him to start following Jesus everyday. We then went on to resume our weekly study rejoicing over work of God in our midst.

·    Always Energized By The Work

We continue to maintain our weekly involvement in home group meetings and personal appointments…never tiring…always energized by another opportunity to see grace at work.  A few days ago I contacted one who we hadn’t seen for quite some time.  In moments we were together at breakfast with some others…and in this moment he was ministered to and prayed for…returning home with a renewed vision of what God wants for him and his family.

·    Kingdom Studies And Life

Our Sunday gatherings are yet in the banquet room of a former hotel turned senior residence...we continue our teaching on Matthew 5-7 concentrating on the new covenant teachings of Jesus regarding life in his kingdom.  The fellowship at our weekly lunch is always good…here love abounds.  May you know this same love in your weekly fellowship... Kingdom Blessings To You All,

Steve Cornelius
