As the weather had been so mild in January we thought winter had passed us by! Well we have had temperatures under 0 degrees Celcius for a week and a half now and about 2 cm of snow. Great for skating and sledding of course! Our kids have been skating several times on the different lakes and ponds around Zeeland.

Bryony and her acro crew won gold in a competition this month. Jasper added a slip to his judo belt (orange) and Moxie joined a trampolining group on Friday evenings. They are all three healthy and doing well in school for which we are extremely thankful.

In January we started reading through Genesis with the kids and we have enjoyed some good discussions. Pray that we will all grow through these special times together.

We are also praying about a ministry that we can be involved in as a family, one possibility is volunteering at the new refugee center in the town of Goes about 10 minutes away.

Paloma our intern from Spain has arrived. She is a lovely girl and we enjoyed having her over for dinner with the rest of the intern crew. A couple of weeks ago Anke and Monika actually cooked for us (my birthday present from them). Once a month we will eat together in the Atlantic Bridge Center with the whole AB team (staff-4, volunteers-4, interns-5 and anybody who is living at the center at the time). Please pray for good discussions around the dinner table each week.

The interns are settling into their various tasks in their various regions (helping with youthgroups and youth alpha, organising another Europeweek, several exchanges, the International Youth Festival, going into schools to give lessons and to meet dutch youth, keeping the center clean and tidy, preparing meals).
