Emmanuel builds bridges and forms teams of people who want to see change and are willing to be used as instruments of transformation in the lives of individuals, families and communities around the world.

We believe that EVERYONE has been given gifts, talents, time and resources that they can use to make a difference. When we work together and each of us does a little, we can have a major impact!

2012

In 2012, Emmanuel will be focusing on:

Food! Emmanuel is uniting entire communities (schools, churches, businesses, families and individuals of all ages) in ImpactLives food-packing events. We form teams of people who work together to promote the event in their community; we gather the donations and volunteers that we need to pack a full-container of food; and then over 1000 volunteers come together to pack more than 285,000 meals in one day! With the Holy Spirit as our guide and sharing Jesus our purpose, we see transformation in thousands of lives locally and internationally through these events. Glory to God!

Education! People living in poverty see education as a way out. Emmanuel is working together with indigenous volunteers to start library projects/after school homework clubs in poor communities in the Dominican Republic. Through these projects, children have access to books! Those involved improve their reading, writing and critical thinking skills; they develop meaningful relationships with Christian role models; they receive training to help them grow as leaders; and they hear the message that God created them, God loves them, and God has plans for their lives!
