Psa 9:1 To the chief Musician upon Muthlabben, A Psalm of David. I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvelous works. 2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. 3 When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.

Dear Friends,

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and pray with us. I have a few serious prayer requests to share:

  • My 61 year old Father-in-law (Andrea’s dad) was badly hurt in an incident in his apartment building. Some young people were hanging out and smoking in the entryway in the inside of the apartment building. I don’t know all of what went on, but he confronted them, and ended up getting beat up, to the point of almost bleeding to death. This happened last Sunday. I believe the Friday before that he also lost his job. He is now at home and recovering. We have no reason to believe either he or my mother-in-law are saved. Please pray firstly for their salvation and also for their safety and that of my sister-in-in law who also lives with them. There are a lot of details I’ve left out, but please pray with us for them.

  • We have faced a lot of health issues lately. I was sick for the better part of two month. Andrea and our children also had Bronchitis and were sick for a while. Hannah ended up having a lot of tests and going to various doctors here in Bucharest. Long story short, they told us that Hannah would need surgery to remove nasal polyps. Our family doctor explained about the bribing we would need to do etc. We were not very pleased by the situation. Hannah is only 3 and a half, and I’m not too exited about the idea of her having a surgery. I know the doctors are very poorly paid, yet it is so hard for me to trust people who require bribes etc. We’ve really been thinking and praying about this. As I asked around, it seems like this surgery is very common practice here. I was blessed to write to a doctor and his wife in the US. I related the situation, and responded to his questions. He counseled us against the surgery, and encouraged us to have her checked out in the US before doing such a thing. I really didn’t want her to have the surgery, but it was a real blessing to have God lead us and supply wise council to help us in this important decision. Hannah is feeling great, as has been telling us to praise God because she is well. She says “I’m not sick Daddy, I’m not sick!” Please thank and praise God with us, for His healing, direction, and care. God is so merciful and kind. I really don’t’ do to well in the winters here, please pray that God would continue to heal and strengthen that I might better work for His glory. One blessing out of being sick so long, was it kept me indoors, and had me spending a lot of time with my family. I learned a lot. Thank you for praying with us for our health, and safety.

  • Last Monday I turned 32. I had a long day at work, and it was wonderful to come home and be with my family. I praise God for not only giving me life, but the infinitely more valuable promise of everlasting life. We praise and thank God for saving our souls. Thank you for the many of you who sent a card or wished me happy birthday on Facebook.
  • Praise God for the video’s we’ve been able to make this last month. On one sunny day recently I got to go on a date with Andrea. We walked around our neighborhood handing out tracts and sharing the gospel. Here, is an interview we were able to do:   http://youtu.be/Po3JrDK0ka0   For those of you who do speak Romanian, forgive my butchering of your beautiful language. For those of you who don’t, the interview is with Alin about where he would go when he faces God in judgment. We got to share the law and the gospel, as well as answer his and his friend’s questions. It was a great date with my wife. I hope we are able to have many more. Here is another interview from last winter I was just able to finish editing with the new computer we now have.
  • http://youtu.be/ndh7_jQ10-o   Claudiu interviews a girl who bases her views of the after life on visions and dreams she says she’s had. He is able to share the law and the gospel with her as well. Here are several in English and Romanian, from the last Heart Cry Conference when Paul Washer was here in Romania: The reality of spiritual warfare   http://youtu.be/D71FlRruDmA   Why does the devil fight against us?   http://youtu.be/bGLW7f8JEgE   And some thoughts on “Husbands, Fathers, and Sunday School”   http://youtu.be/F3JKD5R3e7o

  • Please pray with us that God would use these and all we are and do for His glory, the lost to be saved, and His church beautiful.

  • Lastly, IGO the Mission we are under and work with, is having a conference for it’s missionaries this October in Minnesota. We still have a long ways to go as far as monthly support goes, and I think it would be nice if God would provide for us to meet with our mission board face to face, and hopefully open the doors to share at and partner with some churches in the US. It would also be great if God provided for and resolved the various unresolved issues, regarding getting Andrea US citizenship. Please praise the Lord that He has carried us so far, and pray with us that He would continue to, and if it’s His will, he would allow us to do the things listed above.

Thank you for your love and care. May God keep you I and the rest of His people…

Unashamed,

Jonathan, Andrea, Hannah, & Demetrius DeSeno 1 John 3:1
