A whole greater than the sum

Moments of intense reliance on the Lord also tend to facilitate moments of quiet listening and insights on other less mundane matters than where the next meal is coming from (funny how that works, isn't it?). In this instance I have done some deeper thinking on the ministry of Speaking Volumes for the years to come.

Our vision for Speaking Volumes certainly goes beyond the purely technical (websites and hosting, for example); and it goes a little beyond communication and community development, too. In a nutshell, I am looking at particular ways Speaking Volumes can be used to multiply or enhance other ministries.

It is my hope that this will involve drawing on some of my experience in several organizations, and, more importantly, the experience of those in my network; ideally in conjunction with other ministries such as ACTSent: to help provide some analysis and training or consultation for ministries; perhaps to help others to think about the strengths and weaknesses of their organizations; or to help others think about the assumptions they have made and the processes they have set up to achieve their aims.
