Ben
and Tanya Robinson
In the nation of
Ukraine, after 13 years of independence from the Soviet Union, corruption,
mistrust and cynicism is widespread --- leading to a lack of hope in the
future. Many young Ukrainian professionals have yet to question the
"accepted" leadership models. The idea that faith in Jesus can and should
affect all of life is seen very novel. As president of The Center for
Leadership Development, Ben Robinson and his colleagues teach and mentor
young Ukrainian leaders, who are emerging within such influential
vocations as business, law, government, media and education. His goal is
to develop leaders, who understand that biblical principles form the
foundation for a civil society. His wife, Tanya, was born in Ukraine. They
and their children reside in Kiev, Ukraine. Pray that God will work
through these relationships to bring transformation to individual hearts
and change in the wider community.

February 2010 Newsletter
Dear Friends,
It was a great delight this past week to visit a house where older orphan
“graduates” are served and loved as they seek to transition into life
outside of the orphanage. Their needs are simple yet very deep. They
have never learned many things we would take for granted - simple food
preparation, personal hygiene, basic inter-personal skills etc. So to
see this in practice and discuss ways we can input with future lessons
and be available to help kids.. all this was inspiring.
Yet an unexpected blessing also presented itself. Leading the class was a
girl called Lena - a graduate of our CLD training course over 10 years
ago. It was such an encouragement to see ideas and principles shared so
many years ago bearing fruit in the present.. and impacting countless
lives. This has always been the primary goal of our ministry here - to
equip young leaders to integrate their faith into all of life (for all
of life) and live that out in service to those in need. We praise God
for this unexpected reminder of fruit that sustains and grows in quiet
and surprising places.
